This appears to be the only surviving Matzevah from the 400 year old Jewish community of Zabludow. It was found by Tomasz Wisniewski in the villiage of Skrybice. The name Shatzki has been found on the list of members of the Zabludover Sick and Mutual Aide Society in New York in 1926. Also I found a women by the name of Yetta Shatsky in the Zabludover section of the Mount Zion Cemetery in Queens, N.Y. She died October 7,1927. Also in the 26 year Jubilee publication of the Zabludow Sick and Mutual Aide Society is an article by a Dr. Yaakov Shatzki about Zabludow and it's old synagogue. I also have information that there was a famous surgeon in Bialystok with the name Shatzki.
I would very much like to hear from anyone with any information on this Shatzki family from Zabludow/Bialystok.
