1940 poster pleading for help for European Jews
I've learned from the document bellow that the German Amtskommisar (office supervisor) in Zabludow had the last name Olech. His first name was unknown. He was from the city of Prostem in East Prussia. I must point out that some of the other information in this document is very incomplete, and at times faulty. The German Gendarmeri Commander in Zabludow was given the nickname Pilat by the Zabludow Poles. This is Polish for Pilatus, the Roman Official who judged Jesus Christ and sent him to the cross.

On September 25, 1945 the City Court in Bialystok represented by Honorable Judge Damulewicz Leon, based on articles 255, 254a1, article C of Law Codex had interviewed Mr. Mularczyk Jan, the Mayor of Town Zabludow, regarding murders performed by Germans in Poland. Mularczyk Jan, son of Mikolaj and Agata, 47 years old, Polish nationality, Catholic, farmer, Mayor of Town Zabludow, aware of responsibilities for giving untruthful statements, disclosed the following:There are no mass graves of mass execution places in the area of Town of Zabludow. During all the period of occupation there were 10 individual executions, names of these people are unknown, one out of this 10 people was citizen of Town of Zabludow. I was seeing the body but I could not identify it - other killed people are from outside of Town of Zabludow and are unknown to me. There were 7 Jews and 3 Poles executed. Jews are buried at the Jewish cemetery in the separate graves, Poles are buried at the Polish cemetery in separate graves also. The above data is supported by my personal observations and also based on questioning of the Town citizens. At this the protocol was completed and after rereading it was signed.
